The 4-step apprenticeship guide
You can’t become a strong leader just by consuming more content. At some point, it has to move from theory → practice.
You can read about difficult conversations.
You can study delegation.
You can learn coaching frameworks.
But at some point, someone needs to:
→ observe you,
→ guide you,
→ provide perspective,
→ challenge you,
→ and help you practice in real situations.
Why? Because leadership is deeply experiential. Traditional knowledge transfer type of learning is limited. Just like parenting, you can’t be an effective parent just by consuming content about the subject.
That’s why we’ve become increasingly convinced that Apprenticeship is still one of the most powerful models for developing leaders.
