AI is getting smarter. But are we thinking better?

Recently, I was invited to speak at Kmart Australia & Anko Sourcing’s AI Ready Week.

I asked the audience:
“Does AI give faster or better answers?”

Most of them responded: “Both”

I agree with them.

👉 I then followed up with, “But does it help us humans to think critically and deeper?”

To explore this question, I ran a short live coaching demo with an audience.

No advice.
No solutions.
Just questions.

And within minutes, there was a shift.

Not because I had more experience.
But because I helped the person to confront what they already know… but haven’t fully acknowledged.

That’s the power of coaching.

AI can:
✔ Analyse
✔ Suggest
✔ Optimise

But it cannot:
❌ sit in discomfort
❌ challenge your assumptions
❌ hold space for real change

That’s still human work.

The leaders who will stand out in the age of AI are not those who know the most.

They are the ones who can unlock better thinking in others.
