AI as an “Intern”
Part 3 of 4 (Human-led, AI-powered leadership series): Your team just got AI interns.
With AI, every person on your team just got a new “intern”.
They’re fast, tireless and always available. But here’s the catch: They only do as well as they’re led.
AI is only as useful as the person guiding it. “Interns” can produce great work but only with guidance. Meaning: “they” can also produce poor work if left unchecked.
Here’s how you can help your team shift.
Let them know they are no longer just executing the work but they now need to learn to manage.
Previously, only managers needed to delegate. Now, everyone needs to “manage” AI:
✅ structuring tasks
✅ breaking down problems
✅ iterating on outputs
In short, your team members now need to learn to think critically, direct, and own outcomes when working with their “interns”.
